K7QOcwCourseUPDATE: K7QO's newest course can be found at www.k0ade.com The course I have on this site is an older version. Howdy! I'm hosting this course on my Website for a fellow Aggie and ham by the name of Chuck Adams - K7QO. He's put together a great, simple, and to the point method of learning CW (Morse code). You'll be able to download his audio CD and start right away, but first please take a look at the Owners Manual that Chuck has put together for the course. It gives important background information and explains how to use this course most effectively. This course is offered in what's known as a iso file. After downloading the cw.iso file, you can write this file to CD with your cd burner with the "create from image" option. If you get gibberish when attempting to download, right-click and "save file as" instead of just clicking the link normally. This file is large, about 90 megabytes. As such, it will take a long time to download. If you are on dial-up, you might need to let it run all night. If you are on broadband, it might still take a good half-hour to download. Previously I've offered this file via bittorrent as cw.torrent, however I now have sufficient bandwidth and connectivity to offer the file as a normal download. Without further ado, here is the cw.iso file for download. By the way, Chuck has released version 2.0 of this CD. It will be available at the Dayton hamfest for $6 with the proceeds going to the FISTS society. I haven't asked Chuck whether or not he's going to allow distribution of the new version online, but if he will I'll post it here. MD5SUM cw.iso 485ed8b846153c011cf713431a038605 |
